I had originally started my blog in 2016, but with newborn twins and four other kids, I couldn’t keep up with it. Even though I had discovered my love for food photography and tried to revive my blog, I didn’t get very far. Before Pretty Focused, I didn’t know how to work a camera at all. I had always taken my photos with my phone and had no understanding of things like aperture or depth of field.

Everything changed when I started back up. Pretty Focused gave me the confidence to focus on my blog and the skills I never had before. Pretty Focused teaches exactly what food bloggers need, covering the entire photography process from start to finish. It gave me both the technical skills and the confidence to take my blog seriously, knowing my images could stand out in a competitive space. Having a strong photography background after graduating from Pretty Focused has been incredibly beneficial for me as a blogger.

I know that having beautiful images is essential for growing a food blog, and since reviving my blog in July 2024, I have grown fast.
